Nebraska Governor Ricketts to emcee Celebration of Life dinner Jan. 12

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts will host Nebraskans United for Life’s annual Celebration of Life banquet on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018. There, keynote speaker Sandra Merritt, of California, will tell of the undercover video sting which exposed Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby body parts.

In the company of David Daleiden, as part of the Human Capital Project of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), Merritt used long-accepted methods of investigative reporting to dig out the truth about Planned Parenthood’s unconscionable trade in baby body parts. Daleiden and Merritt didn’t just allege that PP was up to no good — they proved that the abortionists were violating federal law.

Professional journalists, whose job it is to investigate such things, were not pleased. There followed a firestorm of criticism, all in bad faith, and a series of attempts under color of law to silence the irrefutable evidence that had been brought to light. Many have attributed the mainstream media’s reaction as a profound bias favoring abortion. Sandra prefers to blame professional jealousy. As citizen journalists, she and David had openly beat the high-paid professional muckrakers at their own game.

Sandra and David still face two lawsuits from the abortionists and a set of criminal charges from California’s pro-abortion Attorney General, Xavier Becerra. Their treatment in mainstream press hasn’t improved. The two pro-life investigators knew from the outset that somebody would have to pay a price in the attempt to bring Planned Parenthood to justice. They are determined to continue the battle.

The event, and auction fundraiser, will be held at the DC Centre, 11830 Stonegate Drive, Omaha, NE 68164.

A social hour will begin at 6 p.m., with the dinner starting at 7 p.m.

Note: The registration deadline is 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8.
