Mother’s Day AD

Mother’s Day AD will again be in the OWH

We have used billboards to get our message of the importance of life to Nebraskans the last few years.
Before that we listed all the names in a full-page ad in the Omaha World Herald and we will do it again this year. The Sunday OWH goes across Nebraska and it is a way that we show pro-life strength.
It is a wonderful opportunity for you to honor your own mother publicly. Please let us know if it is to be in the “Memorial” section for deceased moms. Each donor can use up to 27 typed spaces. Please use the form with this newsletter.

Will YOUR NAME be included?

With help from generous donors and volunteers, Nebraskans United for Life has held an annual garage sale fundraiser for 40 years now! Please join us for this year’s event in the air-conditioned gym at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, 2120 S. 32nd Ave., Omaha. Thursday and Friday hours will be from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm.

As always, food will be sold at a reasonable price.

Can you help us with the event? Call 402-399-0299! Volunteers are needed:

  • Sunday, July 16: Trucks and muscles are needed at 4 p.m. to transport items from storage to the gym.
  • Monday-Wednesday, July 17-19: From 9 a.m. to noon and from 6 to 9 p.m. sorters, pricers and set-up helpers are needed.
  • Thursday-Saturday, July 20-22: Four-hour shifts are being scheduled for the sale, with clean-up help needed at 2 pm Saturday for cleanup.

To donate items, please deliver any of the following clean items in good condition to the gym Monday-Wednesday the week of the event: toys; religious, kitchen/decor items; tools; books; techie stuff; furniture; jewelry; and antique collectibles. Please take clothes to Surprise Thrift Shop at 143 S. 38th St.

Thank you to everyone for continued support to make this event a success. Much gratitude also to Dino’s Storage, Our Lady of Lourdes, our volunteers, and of course all our shoppers!
