Mother’s Day AD

Mother’s Day AD will again be in the OWH

We have used billboards to get our message of the importance of life to Nebraskans the last few years.
Before that we listed all the names in a full-page ad in the Omaha World Herald and we will do it again this year. The Sunday OWH goes across Nebraska and it is a way that we show pro-life strength.
It is a wonderful opportunity for you to honor your own mother publicly. Please let us know if it is to be in the “Memorial” section for deceased moms. Each donor can use up to 27 typed spaces. Please use the form with this newsletter.

March for Life

Every year, NUFL proudly participates in the March for Life in Washington D.C.

About the March for Life

Late in October 1973, grassroots pro-life leaders became concerned that Jan. 22, 1974 might come and go without properly memorializing the Supreme Court’s infamous abortion decisions and without petitioning Congress for redress.

No established right-to-life organization was prepared to undertake the planning, financial and operational responsibilities for a high impact pro-life March on the U.S. Capitol. But, grassroots pro-lifers wanted to march! About 30 pro-life veterans resolved themselves into a committee and began making plans.

On Jan. 22, 1974, the first March for Life was held on the west steps of the Capitol. An estimated 20,000 committed pro-life Americans rallied that day on behalf of our pre-born brothers and sisters. March for Life was incorporated as a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian organization.

Our numbers have gradually risen through the years despite reduced numbers from the snow in 2000 and the terrible 9/11 attacks just months before the March in 2002. These growing numbers give testimony to the increasing ranks of pro-life Americans and to the importance of the March’s work.
