Jim Esch 2006

ENDORSEMENT REVOKED OCTOBER 2006

ENDORSEMENT REVOKED FOR NEBRASKA GENERAL ELECTION OCTOBER 2006

Mr. Jim Esch’s endorsement for Congressional District #2, has been revoked. Mr. Esch, answered our questionnaire 100% and visited with Mr. John Lillis, PAC Chairman and Ann Marie Bowen, President and Chairman of the Board of Nebraskans United for Life, Inc. and Nebraskans United for Life, Educational Fund. The PAC Chairman and Mrs. Bowen were convinced Mr. Esch’s stands on the right to life issues were appropriate for endorsement.

Mr. Esch appeared in public on a local radio station 10/10/06 and recanted his statement to questions #1, #9 and #10 of our Candidate Questionnaire.

We believe in the right to life of each individual from conception to natural death. The statements made by Mr. Esch are not in keeping with those beliefs, since he is in favor of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

IVF includes procedures such as “IVF culling” or “IVF harvesting,” which refers to the selective process of the embryo prior and after implantation. IVF Culling/Harvesting implies that the remaining embryos would be destroyed, frozen or used for experimentation. (More soon…)

We appreciate Mr. Esch’s opposition to elective abortion and his stand on euthanasia but with this newest development we cannot continue to endorse him for congress.

We regret any inconvenience this may have caused to early voters.
